Team members have worked on the manufacturing site between 5 to 15 years and bring an extensive knowledge about swimwear with them. 🧶While the studio has only a small amount of workers, it’s easier to take care and look after each single member.

THE CREATOR.
The Co-Founder of the Virago Active brand, Lara Schilken, was born in Germany. She moved to Manly Australia in 2015 after having lived in various other countries such as Switzerland, Italy and the USA.
Lara has made herself a name in the fashion industry, having worked for brands like Timberland, Louis Vuitton, Volcom and more.
She started Virago when she found most sustainable surf bikinis are lacking female design.
Lara likes to surf to decompress. She enjoys the ocean for disconnecting from technology and finding opportunity to be in the present moment.
Virago is currently being launched in Australia and available worldwide on international shipping.
